Between March 2007 and June 2011 she researched and taught as assistant professor for comparative politics at the Institute for Political Science, University of Bern. Prior, she has already spent several years in Cologne working in the research group of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Streeck at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies. She received her doctoral degree in 2000 from the Georg-August-University of Göttingen with a doctoral fellowship of the German Research Foundation (Graduate School “The Future of the European Social Model”). In 2017 she was Visiting Scholar at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, in 2016 Guest Professor at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, and in 2015 and 2013 she was Visiting Researcher at the Department of Politics, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand.
