On April 29th, 2019, for the second time after 2014, the leading candidates for the position of President of the European Commission will debate each other in Maastricht.

The Cologne Center for Comparative Politics will broadcast the debate as live stream in lecture hall A1 and invites everyone who's interested to attend the event. The debate itself will be held in English and starts at 7 p.m.
The event is scheduled as follows:

5.30 p.m. - Reception, drinks and snacks
6.15 p.m. - Welcome address and introduction (in German): Prof. Sven-Oliver Proksch (University of Cologne) and Jochen Pöttgen (Regional office of the European Commission Bonn)
7.00 p.m. - Live stream of the debate (in English)
8.30 p.m. - Live voting: Evaluation of the candidates performance and closing remarks (in German)
