David Kläffling has received the Gerhard-Fürst-Preis 2021
The prize, which is awarded by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Statistisches Bundesamt), honors outstanding Bachelor, Master and PhD theses that analyze statistical data in an innovative way. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Trampusch and Dr. Michael Schwan, Mr. Kläffling’s thesis “Corporate Governance and Corporate Savings in Advanced Economies” investigates the puzzle of firm behavior and a lack of investment. His work combines sophisticated econometric modeling with key concepts from both macroeconomics and comparative political economy. Currently, Mr. Kläffling continues his academic training in the MA program “Public Economics” at Free University Berlin. We congratulate him on this prestigious award and wish him all the best!
