Danielle Pullan, doctoral researcher in the chair of comparative politics under the supervision of André Kaiser, has been elected to the steering group of the Max Planck PhDnet for 2022. PhDnet is a network of the over 5000 doctoral researchers affiliated with the Max Planck Society in a wide variety of academic disciplines. Six representatives compose the Steering Group, and Danielle was elected by the Human Sciences section. In this role, she collaborates with the Equal Opportunity Working Group of PhDnet including joining the MPS Presidential Commission on Equal Opportunities, she contributes to the social media team, and she supports mental health initiatives of the network. Danielle has served as the external spokesperson of the doctoral researchers in the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Composition of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE) from April 2021 until April 2022, which is how she first became connected to PhDnet. She hopes that her work with PhDnet will help build closer connections across research institutions and enrich her own communities at the CCCP and the MPIfG.
